Library Guidelines

Students in first through fifth grades are allowed to check out two books each week.

Kindergarten students are allowed to check out one book each week once we have completed library orientation during the first few weeks of school.

Students may keep checked out books for three week intervals. In order to keep the book longer, the book needs to be returned to the library for renewal.

Students are responsible for any books in their possession. If a book is damaged, the student will be assessed a fine. If a book is lost or destroyed, student is responsible for the full replacement cost of the book.

Prairie Winds hosted children's author and illustrator, Michelle Nelson-Schmidt on Monday, November 5, 2012. Michelle is the author of "The Whatif Monster", "Cats! Cats!" and "Dogs! Dogs!" Students enjoyed hearing her speak about being an author and illustrator and about the importance of following your dreams!

Thank you to our PTA organization for sponsoring the visit with our guest author!
